Sourdough Workshop | March 14, 1- 3 PM | Earthwise Agassiz | Cost: $30

Join us for a hands-on introduction to the art of sourdough! We’ll cover starter maintenance, beginner bread-making techniques, and share tips and tricks for creating delicious loaves at home. Explore the history and health benefits of sourdough before sampling some fresh bread paired with Earthwise honey and a cup of tea. Each participant will take home a 10 oz jar of starter and a printed recipe handout- perfect for continuing your sourdough journey! Ready, Set, Grow! Workshop Series | Earthwise Delta | Cost: $50 for the series, $20 individual workshops

Planning Your Growing Season: March 14, 11-12
Learn how to plan your garden for success. This session focuses on mapping out your growing space, choosing the right plants for your conditions, timing your plantings, and creating a realistic plan for the season ahead.

Seed Starting 101: offered at Seedy Saturday, March 21, 11-12 
Get hands-on with the basics of seed starting. We’ll explore when and how to start seeds indoors, the supplies you need, lighting and watering tips, and how to set your seedlings up for a strong, healthy start. Note: this session takes place in the Red Barn!

Supporting Healthy Soil: March 28, 11-12
Soil is the foundation of every thriving organic garden! Join us for a hands-on workshop focused on building healthy soils. Participants will learn how to recognize the signs of healthy vs. depleted soil, understand how nutrients are stored and absorbed, and explore how environmental factors influence soil health.

Seedy Saturday DELTA | March 21 | 10 am – 1 pm | Southlands Barn | Cost: By Donation

Seedy Saturday is back! Whether you’re an avid gardener or just starting out, this is a great chance to connect with your community, exchange seeds, and share gardening tips. Garden Buddies Meetups

Do you know someone who loves to garden and would enjoy participating in shared gardening activities with a new friend?  The Meetup sessions offer an opportunity for seniors and mentors to connect in the Teaching Garden and do some fun and creative gardening activities. Earthwise Farm Cart

We offer a wide selection of seasonal produce freshly harvested from the Earthwise Farm, specializing in unusual and heirloom varieties. Our produce is harvested just hours before it is sold, providing the tastiest, most nutritious produce possible.  The Farm Cart is located at the Earthwise Garden in Boundary Bay and is open on Saturdays from 10 am – 3 pm, from spring through fall.

Planning Your Dream Garden- WEBINAR | Feb 23, 1- 2 pm | ZOOM
Spring is around the corner and it’s the perfect time to start planning your dream garden! We’ll discuss seed selection, planting for pollinators, succession planting, and early spring gardening tasks, and we’ll share some ideas for fun seed varieties to grow this year- both edible and ornamental. Organic Gardening 101: March 7, 11- 12
This workshop introduces the fundamentals of starting your own organic garden. We’ll cover what organic gardening is all about, including soil health, environmental and health benefits, basic garden design, crop selection, and more.

Mason Bees Learning Series
Join Earthwise volunteer and bee expert, Dave Robinson, for a 2-part workshop series all about Mason bees, our gentle native pollinators. Learn how you can support them in your own garden! Each session will provide valuable insights and practical tips on Mason bee care, progress tracking, and harvesting.

April 19: Introduction to the Earthwise Mason Bee Program – Learn the basics of Mason bees and how they can benefit your garden.
May 17: Progress , Troubleshooting, and end of season wind up.  We’ll check in on the Earthwise Mason bees and you’ll have the chance to ask questions as we troubleshoot any challenges, and learn how to ensure a successful season. We will also wind things up during this session and reflect on the season’s progress, assess the results, and learn about the harvesting process.

Families will enjoy a guided trail walk to explore the early signs of spring in the forest and on the farm. This event is open to all ages, and children must be accompanied by a caregiver. Healthy snacks and drinks, provided by the Fraser-Cascade School District’s ‘Feeding Futures’ program, will be available to enjoy onsite or take home.
